Charges filed following armed robbery of gas station outside Harvard

HARVARD – A Crystal Lake woman and a Capron man were arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a Mobil gas station outside Harvard, police said.

Savana K. Victory, 20, of Crystal Lake, and Jacobb Knobbe, 20, of Capron, were charged Thursday with armed robbery, a Class X felony; burglary, a Class 2 felony; and theft, a Class A misdemeanor, in connection with the theft.

The robbery took place about 3:10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mobil gas station at 24102 Route 173 in unincorporated Harvard, when a masked man entered the gas station and told an employee that he wanted money, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. After getting money from the clerk, the man left the gas station.

Both Victory and Knobbe remain in the McHenry County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
