Strong in faith

To the Editor:

Re. Richard Perlick’s letter on Aug. 14.

Praise God that Richard had the courage to speak out for his faith. I believe the reason evil is flourishing in our country is because we as Christians for the most part have remained silent, and I am as guilty as anyone. Anti-Christians are very vocal about their beliefs. Why shouldn’t we be as vocal about something that determines where we spend eternity? As Richard said, eternity never ends. It is vital that we make the right choice now.

Our society is trying to confine God to a church building. It is so ridiculous to think the Creator of the universe could be confined to a building. Let’s acknowledge God for who He is, the Creator and Sovereign Being of the universe. I hope many Christians will respond to Richard’s letter with praise to God.

Persecution is quickly coming to our country. It used to be other countries where Christians were persecuted, but we are now seeing the beginning of it here. As believers in Jesus Christ, we need to be strong in our faith.
