A bags game set sponsored by Bobby’s Shoe Store in Marengo and designed by artist Nancy Carroccia is one of 20 game sets up for auction as part of Marengo’s Summer Art Project.

Bidding has begun for Marengo’s Summer Art Project.

Original artwork has been featured on 20 bags game sets in front of Marengo businesses throughout the summer. Bags is a bean bag toss game similar to horseshoes.

Previous Summer Art Projects have included custom-made barn quilts, rain barrels and adirondack chairs, each covered in original artwork.

Marengo Main Street is auctioning off the games through a silent auction to benefit the organization. Bidding for all sets begins at $80, and each has a “buy it now” price of $300.

Bidding can be done in person at Flatlander Market, 125 S. State St., or online at www.marengomainstreet.org. Bidding closes at 5 p.m. Aug. 29.

For information, call the Marengo Main Street office at 815-568-8440.
