Fall youth sports in McHenry to start in September

McHENRY – Pee-wee flag football, basketball and T-ball programs will be starting in September.

The McHenry Parks and Recreation Department programs will start the week of Sept 1 and require prior registration.

Pee-wee flag football camp is for children ages 5 to 7 and will be held 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesdays and pee-wee basketball for first and second graders will follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost for either program is $30 for city of McHenry residents and $40 for non-residents.

T-ball is for ages 4 to 7 and will be held on Saturdays. Four-year-olds will practice 9 to 10 a.m. and practice for kids 5 to 7 years old will follow from 10 to 11 a.m. The fee is $45 for residents and $55 for non-residents.

All three of the programs will be held at Riverwood School, 300 S. Driftwood Trail in McHenry.
