PRAIRIE GROVE – Multiple car crashes slowed Thursday's rush-hour commute along Route 176 in Prairie Grove.

McHenry County Sheriff's deputies were called around 3:30 p.m.Thursday for three separate car crashes near the intersection of Route 176 and Bayview Beach Road in Prairie Grove. No injuries have yet been reported, said Undersheriff Andrew Zinke.

Two crashes occurred at the intersection and another east of the intersection. The high-traffic area, combined with the slick road conditions Thursday, likely played a factor, Zinke said.

Route 176 has since been cleared, but the McHenry County Sheriff's Office did not have an update later that evening on injuries.
