One injured in accident involving school bus

WOODSTOCK – One person was injured in an accident involving a school bus Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and the city police department responded about 4 p.m. Thursday to an accident involving a car and a school bus at Ware Road and Route 47, Woodstock Fire Capt. Scott Nieman said.

Nieman didn't have the details on how the accident occurred, but the bus sustained damage to its front and the vehicle had damage to its side, he said.

The Woodstock Police Department did not have details on the accident available Thursday evening.

The female driver of the car was taken to Centegra Hospital – Woodstock with injuries that were not life-threatening, Nieman said. The driver of the bus was not injured and there were no children on the bus.
