Work underway at Johnsburg gas station

JOHNSBURG – Work is underway on a 1,400-square-foot Murphy Oil Gasoline and Convenience Store on Route 31 next to the Wal-Mart Super Center in Johnsburg.  

Representatives of the village of Johnsburg and the Johnsburg Area Business Association attended a recent groundbreaking ceremony, according to a news release.

“Johnsburg is excited to have Murphy Oil open this site,” Village Trustee and Economic Development Chairman John Huemann said in a statement.

Murphy USA has more than 1,200 locations in 23 states across the Southern and Midwestern United States. The stores are all company operated, 90 percent company owned, and most are located adjacent to Wal-Mart stores. It serves more than 1.6 million customers daily.
