To the Editor:
I’d like to express my appreciation to Gregory Rowlett, president of McHenry County Federal Credit Union, and an anonymous patron of the bank for retrieving the money I left at the ATM.
I was chatting with a friend in my car, drove off with the receipt and left money in the ATM. I got home and realized what I had done and drove back to the credit union. Because of the security system at the credit union and kindness in understanding what I had done, Greg was able to contact the next individual who followed me at the ATM.
Because of privacy rules, I do not know the name, but I want to publicly thank him/her for their honesty. These are the acts of kindness that occur in Crystal Lake more often then we know.
Thank you, Greg and my anonymous new friend.
