New blood in county GOP

To the Editor:

Government at all levels, particularly in Illinois, continues to become larger and increasingly less affordable.

The establishment Republicans are even more guilty than the Democrats. At least the Democrats are open about their desire for more taxes and bigger government. Establishment Republicans claim to have a platform of limited government, but never do anything to actually limit or reduce taxes or government.

Thanks to the efforts of a few individuals, the establishment McHenry County Republican Party is on the way out. New blood in the party actually is living up to the platform, and the party is showing some life.

Three individuals that are part of this new movement in the McHenry County GOP are candidates for County Board, and I strongly urge voters to support them at the polls in November. They are Charles “Chuck” Wheeler and John Hammerand (District 4) and Andrew Gasser (District 1).
