Volleyball roundup: Kornfeind leads McHenry past Hampshire

Haley Kornfeind had 10 kills and 12 digs for McHenry in a 25-18, 24-26, 25-15 Fox Valley Conference crossover win on Tuesday against Hampshire. 

Also for the Warriors, Zoe Lindsay had 19 assists and eight service aces, Ally Spence had 12 digs and Becca Dabrowski had six kills. 

The Warriors (2-0) begin FVC Valley Division play on Thursday against Cary-Grove. 

Cary-Grove 2, Woodstock North 0: At Woodstock, Erin Olson had 12 assists for the Trojans (1-0) in a 25-15, 25-7 FVC crossover win. 

Sam Kunke had six digs for the Thunder (0-1).

Huntley 2, Grayslake North 0: At Grayslake, Erin Erb had 13 kills and Kelsey DeWulf had 23 assists for the Red Raiders (2-0) in a 25-19, 25-13 FVC crossover win. 

Wauconda 2, Marengo 1: At Wauconda, Peyton Velasquez had 12 kills, 10 digs and four blocks to lead the Indians in a nonconference loss.

Dundee-Crown 2, Grayslake Central 0: At Grayslake, Frankie Cavallaro had 16 assists for the Chargers (3-0) in a, 25-23, 25-9, FVC crossover win. 

Woodstock 2, Round Lake 1: At Round Lake, Brie Weiss had 15 assists for the Blue Streaks in a nonconference win.
