Video: Palm Sunday Tornado: Rick Burman and Ed Ozog

Rick Burman, then 20, was working on a dog kennel with his brother-in-law Ed Ozog, then 16, at his family farm on Burman Drive in Crystal Lake. They watched the tornado go by and into Crystal Lake passing by the farm, damaging trees in the orchard a few hundred feet from them. They recall cars flying in the air, damage in Orchard Acres and Colby subdivision and more.

Ozog: “You could see the debris … there was like a trailer that was up in the air. You could see cars and everything that were inside the tornado.”
