PROFILE QUESTIONS

What is your job and how have you found success with it?

I'm a commercial lender, and I have found success with it as I love helping businesses succeed. Through lending, I am able to assist with their growth.

How did you first get involved with your current job? Why have you kept doing it?

I have been in banking since I graduated college in 2002 and switched four years ago from retail banking management to commercial lending because it gave me a chance to be involved in more complex transactions that have a larger impact on the community. I have and will continue on this side of banking because every day and every customer request are different, which keeps me engaged and challenged.

What's a recent accomplishment and innovation that you are most proud of? Why?

I am most proud of my ability to think outside the box to find ways to structure financing options that best fit the client needs, along with my turnaround times to get them approved and closed.

How do you give back to the community or your profession? What drives you to volunteerism?

I give back through sitting on the Board of Directors for the Crystal Lake Chamber and for the Boys & Girls Club of West Dundee. I see how all of the board members' contributions help the cause. It is motivating to me that we can individually and as a whole make a difference.

What is the best career advice you have received?

You can never be the best. There is always room for improvement.

Do you consider yourself one of the county's Best Under 40? Why or why not?

I am honored to have been selected, and I think there are many of us under 40 trying to make a difference in our careers and community.
