WOODSTOCK – The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is currently taking applications
for correctional officers in
To qualify for the position, applicants must be 21 years old and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. They must possess a high school diploma or GED, a FOID card and a valid driver’s license. Applicants also must live in McHenry County, or neighboring counties within one year of hiring.
Starting pay for correctional officers is $49,751 with paid holidays, vacation and sick time after one year. Major medical, dental and life insurance packages also are offered.
