Richmond-area school district boards adopt flat 2015 tax levies

Nippersink District 2, Richmond-Burton High School District 157 boards unanimously OK levies

RICHMOND – The school boards for two Richmond-area school districts last week adopted flat property tax levies for 2015.

In Nippersink School District 2, the board voted unanimously to ask for about $12.5 million in property tax revenue, the same amount extended in 2014.

Members Diane Bishop and Dawn Heaney were absent, Superintendent Dan Oest wrote in an email.

Similarly, the one-school Richmond-Burton High School District 157 Board voted to maintain a flat levy of about $9.9 million, with debt service expected to total about $1.7 million.

The flat levy was adopted with a 7-0 vote, Oest wrote.
