Missing Arlington Heights man found dead in Barrington Hills forest preserve

A body found in a Barrington Hills forest preserve Wednesday morning was identified as 38-year-old Timothy Anderson, the Arlington Heights man who went missing Monday.

Forest preserve personnel found a body about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday in the Spring Lake Forest Preserve, said Sophia Ansari, Cook County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

Ansari said Cook County Sheriff's police are conducting a death investigation and being assisted by Arlington Heights police. The cause and manner of the death have not been released, and will be determined by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, she said.

Anderson was last seen at his Arlington Heights home at 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Arlington Heights Police Department.

His car was located by the Cook County Forest Preserve Police at the intersection of Donlea and Bateman roads in Barrington Hills near Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve at 7 p.m. Monday night.
