It’s the Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Festival’s “Sweet 16” as the annual event returns Sept. 2-4 to Sunset Park.

With free admission, well-known cover bands this year and the festival’s usual attractions – a carnival, horseshoe and bags tournaments, wine tasting, Battle of the Bands, parade, Classic & Custom Car Show, Got Talent competition, fireworks and more – the Lake in the Hills tradition is expected to draw thousands.

“We have three really big headliners,” festival chair Denise Wasserman said of the festival’s musical lineup, including Arra, 7th Heaven and Libido Funk Circus. “They’re always fantastic draws.”
