Dundee-Crown bowler Taylor Gonio finished 16th at the Belvidere Sectional, five spots short of qualifying for state. The D-C senior was the top finisher of the local participants, none of whom advanced to state. She had 1,194 pins for six games, a 199 average.
As a team, Huntley finished 11th of 12 teams, scoring a 5,106. McHenry finished 12th with a 4,701. Harlem (6,401), Gurnee Warren (5,839), Rockford Guilford (5,780) and Lake Zurich (5,545) qualified for state.
For Huntley, Nicole Ciccione finished 30th, Marissa Bousk finished 62nd, Kaitlyn Clutter finished 66th, Shaelyn O’Rilley finished 76th, Hailie Nosek finished 88th and Caroline Piske finished 94th.
McHenry’s Alyssa Michmershuizen finished 43rd, Amber Wells finished 68th, Becca Beaman finished 79th, Destiny Draheim finished 81st and Kaitlin Kleimann finished 84th.
Competing individually, Marie Beyer (Jacobs) finished 46th, Ileana Fribley (D-C) and Leah Secor (Marengo) tied for 50th, Brianna Schmidt (Jacobs) finished 52nd, Skyler Malcolm (Johnsburg) finished 58th, Megan Anthony (Marengo) finished 65th and Emily Owens (Johnsburg) finished 69th.
