Letter: Support '4 for Change'

Published: Monday, March 20, 2017 10:09 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

This April, we have a chance to overhaul the D-155 board with the “4 for Change” slate. If elected, John Pletz, Donna Kurtz, Raphael Kamner and Scott Vetter will bring a responsible majority to the seven-member D-155 board.

Let’s rid ourselves of incumbents who are out of touch with residents. Incumbents who approved the behemoth Crystal Lake South bleachers, then spent additional tax dollars on lawyers trying to protect their multimillion dollar mistake.

Board of trustees are supposed to be stewards of our tax dollars, not insiders elected to protect spending, salaries and benefits.

Pletz, Kurtz, Kramner and Vetter want to cut D-155 taxes while improving schools. Vote for the four candidates at the bottom of the D-155 ballot. Vote Pletz, Kurtz, Kamner and Vetter on April 4.
