High school girls soccer roundup: Richmond-Burton beats Woodstock on last-minute free kick

Richmond-Burton's Sarah Kitterman scored on a free kick with 28 seconds remaining to propel the Rockets to a 2-1 Kishwaukee River Conference victory against Woodstock in Woodstock.

The Blue Streaks scored with 55 seconds remaining to tie the Rockets (7-5-1 overall, 6-2 KRC) at 1-1, but were called for a foul after the ensuing kickoff to set up Kitterman's goal from 25 yards out.

Before Kitterman's game winner, Camryn Davis scored with 13 minutes remaining off a corner kick from Taylor Webb. Emma Dorn answered in the last minute for Woodstock.

Lindsy Restis made seven saves for the Rockets, and Meghan McGrath had seven for Woodstock (7-5, 4-4). Grace Maidment had an assist for the Streaks.

Burlington Central 2, Johnsburg 0: At Johnsburg, the Rockets scored in the 35th and 78th minutes to hand the Skyhawks a KRC loss. Jesse Strzelczyk made eight saves for the Skyhawks (5-4, 5-3 KRC).

Woodstock North 4, Harvard 0: At Harvard, Taylor Prerost scored North's first goal and later added an assist in the KRC victory. Also scoring for the Thunder were Anastasia Mazzanti, Fani Salgado-Ramos and Daniela Miranda. Annica Mackay-Slavin made three saves in the shutout, while Shea Jones, Mazzanti and Annie Velasco each had an assist.

Sam Perales had 21 saves for the Hornets.

Cary-Grove 5, Dundee-Crown 0: At Cary, Teagan Jones scored three goals and Natalie Gallant added two goals in the FVC win. Kelly Stayart had three assists for C-G (6-2, 2-1 FVC). Diana Santillan-Ceja had five saves for the Chargers (5-7, 2-2).

Larkin Tournament: At Larkin, Crystal Lake South scored three second-half goals to pull away from West Chicago in a 4-0 victory. Taylor Bittenbender put the Gators (8-1-1) ahead in the first half, and Jenna Ross, Cameron Sengstock and Jess Schoenfeldt all had goals after the break.

Annika Sevcik made three saves in the shutout, and Schoenfeldt and Ross had assists.

Rockford Guilford 5, Marengo 0: At Marengo, the Indians were shut out in nonconference play.

Marian Central 3, McHenry 0: At McHenry, Zoe Villont scored twice for the Hurricanes (3-5-1) in a nonconference win. Addie Fortin added a goal and an assist, and Karlie Blaz and Erika Dacanay each had an assist. Mackenzie Schwalbach had three saves in the shutout.
