HUNTLEY – A surprise visitor came to Huntley High School’s prom Saturday night.

The Chainsmokers, an EDM-pop duo made up of members Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, crashed prom at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Rosemont before heading to their concert scheduled at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, according to social media posts. They played their single "Closer" at the beginning of the dance.

“Just crashed Huntley High schools prom! That was awesome!,” The Chainsmokers tweeted.

The duo also posted a photo with the crowd, which was re-tweeted almost 800 times within an hour of posting, including by several of the high school faculty and students, who were sharing their own photos and videos of the crashers online.

“Crashed this prom just now,” The Chainsmokers tweeted with the photo. “It was across the street from our arena show, so why not :)”
