Crystal Lake-based School District 155 Board elects leaders

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Community High School District 155 Board elected a veteran board member and one who just started to lead it.

Board members at a meeting Monday evening elected Adam Guss as board president and Jason Blake as vice president. Guss was elected to the board two years ago, while voters elected Blake in the April 4 election.

Former President Ted Wagner and former Vice President Gary Oberg did not seek re-election. The board elects its leaders to two-year terms after every consolidated, odd-year election.

The board also elected Mary Sutfin, assistant to the superintendent, as secretary and appointed Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Jeremy Davis as treasurer.

The district includes Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South, Prairie Ridge and Cary-Grove high schools.
