PR clinches lacrosse championship

Prairie Ridge 18, Huntley 6: The Wolves clinched the Fox Valley Conference boys lacrosse championship on Saturday with the victory against Huntley in Prairie Grove. 

The Wolves (13-1 overall, 7-0 FVC) took a 5-1 lead into the second quarter and led, 15-4, after the third. Ethan Kirchberg paced Prairie Ridge with four goals and three assists, Cole Naumovski added five goals and an assist, and Cory Zordan and Jacob Sperling both had three goals.

Matt McDowell made three saves for the Wolves, and Sam Ripple had one for Prairie Ridge. Michael Pilafas added two goals in the victory, and Ben Wheeland scored one.
