High school boys lacrosse: Cary-Grove beats Lake Zurich in overtime

The Cary-Grove boys lacrosse team edged Lake Zurich, 11-10, in overtime on Tuesday in Cary.

The Trojans and Lake Zurich were tied, 4-all, after the second quarter and both teams scored three goals in the third and fourth quarters before C-G broke through with the game winner in the first overtime.

Ty Forney paced the Trojans with four goals and an assist, and Brian Rathje added two goals. Alex Becker, Gavin Hughes, Braden Baird and Logan Baird all scored in the victory, and Jake Baird added two assists.

Blake Nolan stopped 19 of 29 shots in the win for C-G (10-3). The Trojans next face Geneva in their last home game of the season.
