Downed power lines cause outages in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK — Two downed power lines in Woodstock were causing items nearby to catch fire, a spokesperson for the Woodstock Fire Department said.

The Woodstock Fire Department responded to the incident and has since resolved it. The downed power lines did cause a temporary service outage for as many as 1,000 ComEd customers, according to the electric company's website. The outage is still under investigation, but most power should be restored by 2:45 p.m., according to the site.
