Woodstock woman awaiting trial on drug-induced homicide charges back in jail for allegedly selling cocaine to undercover agent

WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock woman awaiting trial on drug-induced homicide charges in connection with a Marengo overdose death is back in jail after authorities said she sold cocaine to an undercover agent.

Durelle J. Hall, 26, was arrested Wednesday at her home with Deonte L. Baugh, 28, on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of cannabis, unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and endangering the life of a child. She faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of the most serious charge, a Class X felony.

Hall is accused of selling cocaine to a confidential informant near Northwood Middle School in Woodstock, authorities have said.

Members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office searched her residence and found more than three pounds of marijuana, 17 grams of cocaine and 10 lorazepam pills. Lorazepam is benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety disorders and seizures, among other things.

Judge Sharon Prather revoked Hall’s bond on the drug-induced homicide case and set bond for the new cases at $1 million, prosecutors said. She next will appear in court June 22.

Baugh also was arrested on similar drug charges. He remains in the McHenry County Jail in lieu of posting 10 percent of his $350,000 bond. He will appear before Prather on June 19.

He previously was charged in April 2013 with aggravated arson but later was found not guilty during a bench trial before Prather in March 2015.

Hall first was arrested in November 2015 in connection with the overdose death of 20-year-old Chelsie Kumm. Police and first responders found Kumm unresponsive Oct. 6 in her Marengo apartment.

Hall later was charged with drug-induced homicide, possession of cocaine and endangering the life and health of a 5-year-old child.
