WOODSTOCK – Woodstock police are investigating an armed robbery that ended in a high-speed chase early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called about 3 a.m. to the 200 block of Throop Street for reports of a disturbance, according to a news release from Woodstock police.
During a fight at the residence, a handgun was displayed, and two men inside the residence were battered, police said. The offenders took "personal property" from the home, and fled the area before police arrived, police said.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dark-colored Cadillac sedan and immediately was spotted by responding officers, police said. Officers turned on their emergency lights and sirens to conduct an investigatory stop, but the vehicle sped away, police said. Police stopped pursuing the vehicle when it reached reached a speed of more than 90 mph.
The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Route 14, police said.
The offenders and victims knew each other, and the victims were specifically targeted, police said.

Woodstock police could not immediately be reached for more information. It was not immediately clear how many offenders there were or what was stolen.
