CRYSTAL LAKE — Prairie Ridge running back Zach Gulbransen touched the football nine times during the Wolves' first 22 offensive plays Friday night against Crystal Lake Central.
He scored six times.
In total, the senior rushed for 198 yards and five touchdowns on only 10 carries and picked up another score on a 21-yard reception from quarterback Samson Evans as host Prairie Ridge cruised to a 56-13 Fox Valley Conference victory.
"Everything was working well tonight," Gulbransen said. "We knew the game plan coming in. (Crystal Lake Central) was going to load up the box, and we wanted to get outside. We did a pretty good job of it."
