High school boys soccer roundup: Johnsburg beats Woodstock North; Woodstock improves to 11-0

Johnsburg senior Will Conroy scored twice Monday in a 4-2 Kishwaukee River Conference win against Woodstock North in Johnsburg.

Conroy also added an assist for the Skyhawks (4-5 overall, 3-2 KRC), and Dean Wiersum scored once and assisted on three goals. MJ Alvarez had Johnsburg's fourth goal.

Woodstock North's goals came from Bartek Scheibe and Jesus Lopez. Scheibe added an assist for the Thunder (2-5, 2-3), and goalkeeper Mitch Ahrens made 13 saves.

Harvard 4, Richmond-Burton 0: At Harvard, Alexis Robles scored the Hornets' first three goals in a KRC win over the Rockets (1-6, 1-3 KRC). Gaby Popoca had the fourth goal for Harvard (6-2, 3-1 KRC), and Danny Robles and Danny Juarez each had an assist.

Woodstock 5, Badger (Wisconsin) 0: At Emricson Park in Woodstock, Brian Rico scored his first two goals of the season for the Blue Streaks (11-0) in nonconference action. Josue Carreno opened the scoring with his 13th goal, and Oscar Escorza and Caleb Warmbier also scored.

Ryan Azzaline had two assists for Woodstock, and Escorza, Angel Arias and Gio Cervantes each had one. Woodstock travels to Woodstock North on Wednesday.

Larkin 6, Marian Central 0: At Elgin, the Hurricanes (4-4) were shut out in nonconference play.
