High school boys soccer: Jacobs, Dundee-Crown win at Hononegah Invite

Colin Walsh had a goal and two assists to help Jacobs' boys soccer team defeat Rockford Guilford, 3-2, on Friday at the Hononegah Invitational in Rockton.

Walsh assisted on a first-half goal by Dan Buirge and a second-half goal by Austin Snobel before scoring the game winner, assisted by Liam Armstrong. Preston Kral made six saves for Jacobs (5-4).

Also at the Hononegah Invitational, Dundee-Crown defeated Rockford Jefferson, 4-1, scoring three second-half goals after a 1-1 halftime tie. Goal scorers for D-C were Gerardo Estrada in the first half and Roland Dearborn, Julian Ajroja (assist by Mario Solano) and Matthew Garcia (Jason Miller) in the second half. Damian Smiech made three saves for D-C (7-0-2).

Waubonsie Valley 1, McHenry 0: At the Freeport Tournament, Jeff Adamson made five saves for the Warriors (5-1-1) in their loss to Waubonsie Valley.
