To the Editor:
In response to Mr. Forest’s brief note in Sunday’s paper regarding the supposed differences between Nazis and socialists. The National Socialist German Workers Party was the ruling party of Hein Hitler’s Germany.
Much like today’s Democratic Party in America, the Nazi party was vehemently anti-capitalist and a shameless exponent of identity politics.
To say that Nazi ideology is not composed of both a racial and class element is like saying freedom is slavery.
The only reason why people try to differentiate between the two is because they don’t want to tarnish the socialist brand with the taint of Nazism.
Unfortunately for the modern left, it can’t be done.
