Otto helped lead the Wolves to a near perfect week with two Fox Valley Conference wins and a 4-1 finish at the St. Charles East Mizuno Cup.

Otto had 22 assists, 12 digs and three kills for the Wolves in a 25-18, 25-22 victory over Crystal Lake South, and added 18 assists, two kills, two blocks and a pair of aces in a 25-11, 25-18 win over Dundee-Crown.

At the Mizuno Cup, the 5-foot-11 setter and NCAA Division I North Florida commit had 108 assists, nine blocks and 12 aces for the Wolves.

Noteworthy

Playoff time: The IHSA playoff volleyball seeds were released last week, with Crystal Lake Central and Huntley getting No. 1 seeds in Class 4A. Johnsburg earned a No. 2 seed in 3A.

Central is in the Wauconda Sectional with Prairie Ridge (No. 3) , Cary-Grove (4), McHenry (5), Marian Central (10) and Crystal Lake South (14). Huntley is in the DeKalb Sectional and in the same sub-sectional with Hampshire (6), Dundee-Crown (7) and Jacobs (8).

Johnsburg is the second seed in the Burlington Central Sectional, joined by Richmond-Burton (4), Marengo (5), Woodstock North (8), Woodstock (9) and Harvard (12).

Alden-Hebron earned a No. 4 seed in the Class 1A Westminster Christian Sectional, and Faith Lutheran is a No. 7 seed.

Conference races: Crystal Lake Central and Huntley remain in control of the FVC with one loss each in the conference. The two teams split the conference series 1-1. The Tigers have to play Crystal Lake South, Dundee Crown and Prairie Ridge, while Huntley has Hampshire, McHenry, Crystal Lake South and Prairie Ridge.

Prairie Ridge is still alive in the FVC race at 10-3 and will have a big say in the conference outcome with Jacobs, Crystal Lake Central and Huntley still on the Wolves' schedule.

In the Kishwaukee River Conference, Burlington Central has yet to lose and leads the conference at 9-0, with Harvard, Richmond-Burton and Johnsburg still to play. Johnsburg is 7-1 and finishes up with Marengo, Harvard, Richmond-Burton and Burlington Central (at home Oct. 19).

Marengo at Johnsburg

6 p.m. Tuesday

The Skyhawks (20-6, 7-1 KRC) trail only Burlington Central (17-10, 9-0) in the Kishwaukee River Conference with four to play, making every KRC match important to Johnsburg's conference title chances.

McHenry at Huntley

6 p.m. Thursday

The Red Raiders are on a seven-match winning streak, but the Warriors always give Huntley a tough challenge. Huntley defeated McHenry, 25-16, 19-25, 28-26, in the teams' first meeting of the season, rallying from an eight-point deficit in the third set and staving off a match point.

Burlington Central at Richmond-Burton

6 p.m. Thursday

Richmond-Burton (14-9, 6-3) is still hanging around in the KRC and can play spoiler with a win over Burlington.
