Crystal Lake man arrested after police find loaded pistol, drugs during vehicle stop

CRYSTAL LAKE – A Crystal Lake man was arrested Wednesday after police said they found a loaded pistol and small amounts of cocaine and marijuana in his car.

Vincent A. Falco, 27, was charged with armed violence, aggravated use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and speeding, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy observed Falco speeding in a Hyundai Sonata and conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Route 31 and Route 176 in Crystal Lake. During the traffic stop, deputies found a loaded Glock 19 pistol, cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Falco remains at the McHenry County Jail. His bond has not yet been set, police said.

He could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted of the most serious charge. Falco’s next court date is Thursday.
