CRYSTAL LAKE – A 60-year-old Huntley man was sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a crash in Crystal Lake, police said.

Crystal Lake Police Patrol Cmdr. Scott Miller said two vehicles involved in the crash were traveling east on Route 176 in the area of Haligus Road when traffic slowed for a vehicle that was turning. One vehicle struck the rear of the other. One was sent into a pole, and the other flipped on its side, Miller said.

The Huntley man was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was sent to the hospital with minor injuries, Miller said.

He said the man’s name would not be released Wednesday night.
