“The back nine, I started out with a bogey, which is kind of rough because No. 10, I usually take advantage of. My chipping was phenomenal. I was parring everything until the birdie on 9. That was a good way to finish, and a very fun way to end it.”
Lyne said she is looking to improve her putting from within 5 feet, but she’s comfortable with her position going into the second round.
“I’m very happy with what I shot,” Lyne said. “That puts me right there, and I’m very excited to see what I can do tomorrow. You basically have to shoot a great round to have a real chance.”
