'Indivisible' political group to hold congressional candidate meet-and-greet in Algonquin

ALGONQUIN – Indivisible NW IL will host a congressional candidate town hall meet-and-greet Sunday.

The event will be from 12:45 to
2:45 p.m. at the Algonquin Area Public Library District’s Branch Library,
115 Eastgate Drive.

District 6 Democratic candidates Grace Haaf, Ryan Huffman and Sean Casten, along with District 14 Democratic candidate Matt Brolley, will be in attendance, according to a news release from the organization.

Residents in the northern Illinois 6th, 8th and 14th U.S Congressional districts organized the Northwestern Illinois Indivisible group in February.

Thousands of others have formed across the nation.

The group’s goals are to “peacefully resist President Donald Trump’s agenda” and highlight the congressional members in the three local districts.

Rep. Peter Roskam, R-Wheaton, represents the 6th District, and Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-Winfield, represents District 14. Primaries for the positions will be in 2018.
