Skilled therapy services will be offered seven days a week, including physical, speech and occupational therapies, said Annette Akerman, regional director of operations. Post-acute rehab programs in orthopedics, cardiology, pulmonary and neurostroke also will be offered.
“The facility will be more like an upscale hotel or resort with amenities because we believe that environment is conducive to recovery, so when patients are there, they will have that nice, warm, relaxing environment,” Akerman said.
Restaurant-style dining, chef specials and a la carte menus will be offered, along with an ice cream parlor and daily happy hour for patients and their families.
Laptops and iPads will be available for residents to check out.
Medicare and most insurances will be accepted for the short-term rehabilitation center and short-term memory care stay. Long-term memory care will be charged through private pay and rates have not been set yet.
