Letter: Double standard for Bill Clinton

To the Editor:

Many women are presently accusing a number of famous men, politicians such as Roy Moore and Al Franken, and many entertainers as well, of sexual harassment and assault. If these charges are true, all of these men deserve to pay the price for their abhorrent behavior.

What I would like to know is when former U.S. President Bill Clinton is going to be called to account for his sexual sins. There is a long line of women who have accused Clinton, including Jaunnita Broadrick, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky and Kathy Willy, just to name a few. Where were all the feminists then? They were doing their best to blame and smear the victims. The Clintons, the press and the feminists did everything they could to destroy the lives of these women and got away with it.

For a long time, the Clintons have lived by one set of standards, while the “deplorables,” as Hillary likes to call them, have lived by another set. They have been treated like untouchable royalty for way too long. It’s time for them to join the real world and be treated like the rest of us. Can I hope that this will ever happen?
