At the Palatine Invite, the Golden Eagles boys basketball team improved to 3-1 on the season and were led by Kameron Mack with 18 points in a 58-47 win over Palatine. Mack knocked down four of six 3-pointers, and Nik Balkcom added 17 points, five rebounds and three assists for Jacobs.
The Eagles don’t play again until Saturday against Warren. They start their Fox Valley Conference schedule Dec. 6 at Crystal Lake Central.
Harvard 54, Alden-Hebron 45: At the Westminster Christian Tournament in Elgin, Pablo Peralta scored a game-high 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting to lead the Hornets (1-3) to their first win of the season.
Angel Castaneda had 12 points and sank three 3s, Dylan Stephens added nine points, and Josh Peterson and Rafael Escobar had eight points apiece.
Dundee-Crown 52, Sandwich 25: At the LeLand G. Strombom Tournament in Sycamore, the Chargers (3-1) placed third with a 27-point win over the Indians. Gabe Bergeron led D-C with 14 points, Jack Orndahl had nine points and two 3s, and Brad Stec had eight points.
Bergeron and Orndahl were named to the all-tournament team.
Hampshire 70, Rochelle 54: At the LeLand G. Strombom Tournament in Sycamore, Collin Woods led the Whip-Purs with 18 points in a win over the Hubs. JD Shaw had 13 points for Hampshire (2-2), which finished fifth. Nate Cork had 10 points, and Marcus Lazar had eight points and two 3s. Woods was named to the all-tournament team.
McHenry 54, Belvidere North 45: At the Crystal Lake Central Thanksgiving Tournament, the Warriors (3-1) won their third straight game to finish the tournament with a 3-1 record. McHenry led, 37-33, entering the fourth quarter. Maki Mohr led the Warriors with 18 points and four 3s, Gavin Markgraff had 15 points, Gio Calabrese had nine points, and Patrick Breisch had eight.
Hononegah 58, Huntley 46: At the Crystal Lake Central Thanksgiving Tournament, the Red Raiders (1-3) dropped their tournament finale to the Indians. Cory Knipp led Huntley with 11 points and two 3s, Davis Pasco had 10 points and two 3s, and Ryan Sroka added eight points and a 3.
Barrington 56, Prairie Ridge 41: At the Crystal Lake Central Tournament, Connor Kazin had 14 points and two 3s to lead the Wolves in the loss. Jack Hoyland scored nine points, and Joe Hansen had seven.
Geneva 70, Crystal Lake Central 66 (OT): At the Crystal Lake Central Thanksgiving Tournament, the Tigers (1-3) dropped their last game of the tournament to the Vikings.
Alex Timmerman led Central with 24 points, Deonta Dungey had 17 points, and Christian Lerum had 16 points. Dungey and Lerum both had a 3.
