WOODSTOCK – A Crystal Lake physical therapist accused of groping a patient appeared in court Tuesday for the first time since charges were filed against him.

Michael U. Lim,  39, of the 10700 block of Santa Fe Trail, Huntley, was expected to enter a plea Tuesday. His attorney, David Franks of Franks and Rechenberg, asked to continue the matter to Jan. 3.

Lim will appear in court Dec. 12 before he enters a plea on the battery charge against him.

Lim, a physical therapist at Advanced Pain Rehab, 7115 Virginia Road, Crystal Lake, turned himself into police Nov. 16, according to a news release from police at the time.

Franks declined to comment on how Lim intends to plead.
