WONDER LAKE — Two bicyclists were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a minivan struck them in Wonder Lake.

Officials were dispatched about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday to the intersection of Howe Road and Wonder Woods Drive in Wonder Lake for a report of a crash.

It's not yet clear how the crash occurred, the bicyclists' condition following the incident or if any citations were issued.

Both cyclists were transported to area hospitals after the incident, McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Sandra Rogers said. The driver's side of the minivan's windshield appeared to be shattered.

The Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation into the incident, Rogers said.
