Gabe Bergeron led Dundee-Crown with 16 points in a 67-47 Fox Valley Conference boys basketball victory against Hampshire on Saturday in Hampshire.
Jack Orndahl had 14 points and two 3s. He also finished 8 of 8 from the free-throw line. Jordan Hairston added 13 points and a 3, while Brad Stec had 11 points in the win.
D-C (3-1 overall, 1-0 FVC) went 18 of 24 from the free-throw line.
Collin Woods paced Hampshire with 14 points. JD Shaw added nine points and two 3s.
Cary-Grove 45, Prairie Ridge 33: At Cary, Sam Carhart had 11 points, making 5 of 6 free throws, for the Trojans (4-1, 1-0) in an FVC win. Addison West added nine points and Ben Ferrell had seven.
Michael Patterson led the Wolves (1-5, 0-1) with eight points and two 3s, and Joe Hansen had seven points.
Marengo 56, Fulton 44: At the Eastland Shootout in Lanark, Matt Fischer scored 12 points and hit two 3s for the Indians. Blaine Borhart had 10 points and made two 3s, and Alejandro Rodriguez had 10 points. Marengo scored 20 points in the second quarter to take a 29-14 lead into halftime.
Sandwich 53, Marian Central 41: At Sandwich, Jimmy Braddish scored 37 points to hand the Hurricanes (3-1) their first loss of the season in nonconference action. Braddish was 22 of 24 from the free-throw line and made two 3s for the Indians, who outscored Marian, 28-4, in the fourth quarter.
Jakub Baranski led Marian with 11 points and six assists, AJ Golembiewski had eight points and two 3s, and Mike Hucek, Sam Limbaugh and Kevin Herbst added six points apiece.
Gurnee Warren 49, Jacobs 46: At Algonquin, the Golden Eagles (3-2) outscored the Blue Devils, 17-11, in the fourth quarter but came up short in a nonconference loss.
