High school boys basketball roundup: Prairie Ridge comes back to beat Hampshire

Michael Patterson led Prairie Ridge with 12 points Wednesday in a 42-39 Fox Valley Conference win against Hampshire in Crystal Lake.

Prairie Ridge (2-5, 1-1 FVC) climbed all the way back from a 33-26 deficit after the third quarter and outscored Hampshire, 16-6, in the fourth. Jack Hoyland had 11 points and two 3s for the Wolves, and Connor Kazin had 10 points.

Drew Dalby and Nate Cork led Hampshire (2-4, 0-2) with seven points apiece, while Marcus Lazar, JD Shaw and Zach Golden had six points each.

Burlington Central 60, Crystal Lake South 53: At Crystal Lake, the Gators (2-6) lost to the Rockets in nonconference action despite 18 points on nine field goals from Kyle Leva. Blake Kuffel had two 3s and nine points, Matt Reall had nine points, and Tyler Haskin had seven.

Dundee-Crown 53, Huntley 33: At Carpentersville, Jack Orndahl led the Chargers (5-1, 2-0) with 19 points in their FVC victory over the Red Raiders (1-5, 0-2).

Gabe Bergeron added 12 for D-C, which already has won more games than it did last year (4-23). The Chargers took control right away and led, 30-9, at halftime.

Davis Pasco led Huntley with nine points, hitting two 3s and adding a 3-point play.
