Liz Alsot, McHenry, sr., F
Alsot had a monster week for the Warriors, leading McHenry to a perfect 3-0 record with Fox Valley Conference wins against Prairie Ridge, Cary-Grove and Crystal Lake Central.
Alsot had a double-double by halftime against Prairie Ridge and finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds. She scored 16 points and grabbed 23 rebounds as the Warriors held off C-G, 64-60.
On Tuesday, the 6-foot forward scored a game-high 20 points on nine field goals in a win over Central.
On the season, Alsot, who is committed to NCAA Division-II University of Indianapolis, is averaging 16.6 points and nearly 15 rebounds a game. Alsot is fast closing in on 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career.
Looking better: Crystal Lake Central went winless in the FVC last season, but have already picked up two conference wins thus far. The Tigers beat Hampshire, 30-29, for their first FVC win of the season and then defeated Jacobs, 48-33, for their second straight.
Junior guard Maddie Haslow, who led the team in scoring with 10.8 points last season, scored 11 points with six rebounds against Hampshire and had a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds against Jacobs. Cori Hamill pitched in 14 points, seven rebounds and 10 steals in the win over Jacobs.
The Tigers two losses in conference play have come against Cary-Grove and McHenry, both contenders for the FVC title. Central, which is off to a 4-5 start, ended with only five wins last year.

Burlington Central at Johnsburg
7 p.m. Tuesday
The Skyhawks won their first conference title since 2010 and ended the Rockets' 55-game conference winning streak last season, finishing 12-0 in the Kishwaukee River Conference.
Crystal Lake Central at Dundee-Crown
7 p.m. Tuesday
The Tigers have already surpassed their conference win total from last season, while the Chargers are off to a nice start at 3-1 in the FVC.
