High school boys basketball roundup: Woodstock tops Harvard in KRC play; Marengo knocks off North Boone

Woodstock’s Carl Anderson scored 13 points and was one of eight Blue Streaks to record eight or more points Thursday in an 86-55 Kishwaukee River Conference boys basketball victory against Harvard in Harvard.

Anderson hit three 3-pointers for the Blue Streaks (3-4 overall, 1-1 KRC). David Shinherr and Mikey Gardner (two 3s) had 12 points each, and Tyler Peake and Blake Shallebarger both had nine. Andrew Adams, Andrew Gippert and Dylan Grisolia pitched in eight points apiece.

Josh Peterson led the Hornets (2-6, 0-1 KRC) with 10 points and two 3s. Andrew Cooke and Angel Castaneda both had seven points. Dylan Stephens and Jesse Oros both had two 3s for six points. Ryan Marquez also had six points.

Marengo 53, North Boone 37: At Poplar Grove, Alex Schirmer had 14 points to lead the Indians (6-3) to the nonconference win. Matt Fischer had 11 points and two 3s, and Aidan Kirchner (two 3s) and Alejandro Rodriguez both pitched in eight points.

Christian Liberty 59, Faith Lutheran 27: At Crystal Lake, Josh Rolnicki had a team-high 13 points for the Saints (0-6) in the loss. Gideon Schauer added nine points for Faith, and Tyler Oman had five.
