High school girls basketball roundup: Hampshire tops Dundee-Crown for Charger-Komaromy consolation title

Hampshire finished its week 3-1 at the Charger-Komaromy Christmas Classic and captured the consolation championship Friday with a 31-28 victory over host Dundee-Crown in Carpentersville.

Ally Cermak drained two 3-pointers on her way to a team-high 10 points for the Whip-Purs (8-9). Kelby Bannerman contributed nine points and seven rebounds, and Lauren Hermann had seven points.

Gianine Boado topped D-C (10-6) with 13 points and five rebounds. Kennedy White chipped in with five points and six rebounds.

Bannerman and Boado were both named to the all-tournament team.

Glenbard North 44, Jacobs 43: At the Wheaton North Falcon Classic in Wheaton, the Golden Eagles led by 10 through three quarters but were outscored, 20-9, in the final quarter.

Kyra Cabusao led Jacobs (5-9) with 23 points and six rebounds. Elizabeth Schwartz added 10 points, and Courtney Durben hit two 3s to finish with six points.

Alden-Hebron 61, Harvard 51: At the Alden-Hebron Holiday Tournament in Hebron, Kylee Winter and Eden Wanderer each scored career highs to help the Giants to a second-place tournament finish.

Winter supplied A-H (7-4) with 27 points on the strength of five 3s, and Wanderer added 19. Katie Rosio also had nine points.

Haily Hill topped Harvard with 13 points, and Arely Renteria supplied 11 points.
