TNT Training in McHenry raises money for GiGi's Playhouse

TNT Training in McHenry held its “TNT Training for Charity” event Dec. 16 and raised $2,300 for GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center.

TNT owner Steve Drain let everyone who came in to train that day at the facility, located in the Pro Player Consultants building on Prime Parkway, write down their favorite charity. All money from training sessions that day went to the charity drawn from those submitted.

Local hockey player James Dingle’s charity, Gigi’s Playhouse, was the charity selected. Drain and others will take the donation to GiGi’s McHenry facility between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday.

Drain said local businesses Windy City Cyro, Manny’s Gelato and Cafe, Crystal Lake Rib House and Crystal Lake Chipotle also made donations. Throughout the day, prizes donated from those businesses were auctioned off to raise more money.
