3 people sent to hospital after McHenry battery incident

McHENRY – McHenry police are investigating a battery that sent three people to the hospital Tuesday night, a McHenry Township Fire Protection District official said.

McHenry police and the McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded to a call about 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 3200 block of West Hunter Path in McHenry.

Heavy police presence closed a portion of the road while McHenry police investigated the scene.

Battalion Chief Mike Majercik said three male victims were sent to Centegra Hospital – McHenry with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police officials at the scene declined to comment about the incident.

A woman at the house where police responded said she was going to the hospital and declined to comment further. Neighbors also would not comment.
