High school girls basketball roundup: McHenry routs Crystal Lake South; Woodstock edges past Richmond-Burton

Aannah Interrante and Liz Alsot each scored 14 points as McHenry defeated Crystal Lake South, 70-32, in a Fox Valley Conference girls basketball game Tuesday in McHenry.

Ava Interrante added nine points for the Warriors (18-1 overall, 7-0 FVC), while Izzy Gscheidle and Jamie Howie each scored eight points apiece.

The Gators (6-10, 1-6) were led by Lauren Schoen with 12 points and a pair of 3-pointers.

Crystal Lake Central 34, Huntley 29: At Crystal Lake, Maddie Haslow scored nine points to lead the Tigers (11-8, 4-4) past the Red Raiders (2-14, 1-7) in an FVC game.

Emma Fleming added eight points, and Cori Hamill scored six points and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds, while handing out three assists.

Huntley was led by Raquel Radermacher with nine points and Anna Seng with seven. Mallory Moffett had six rebounds and three assists.

Marengo 56, Woodstock North 31: At Marengo, Jennifer Heinberg scored 17 points and Marissa Knobloch added 15 as the Indians (12-5, 4-1) defeated the Thunder (3-16, 1-5) in a Kishwaukee River Conference game.

Jordan Parker scored seven points and had five rebounds. Hannah Ritter led the Indians with six rebounds, and Hannah Faber handed out five assists.

Amaya Saldana led the Thunder with eight points, and Hanna Seils added seven points.

Woodstock 59, Richmond-Burton 52: At Woodstock, Autumn Overly scored 16 points, and Erin Lockwood added 15 as the Blue Streaks (5-13, 4-2) beat the Rockets (3-16, 2-5) in a KRC game.

Emma Brand scored 11 points, and Camryn Tafoya added nine for Woodstock.

R-B’s Kasey Miller led all players with 20 point,s and Kayly Hogan tossed in 14, hitting 5 of 6 free throws.

Johnsburg 71, Harvard 24: At Johnsburg, the Skyhawks (12-5, 5-1) pulled within one-half game of KRC-leading Burlington Central with their victory over the Hornets (1-14, 0-7).

Megan Madsen hit four 3s and scored 20 points to lead Johnsburg. Morgan Madsen added 16, and Kaitlyn Owen scored 14, hitting 8 of 10 free throws.

Holly Hill led Harvard with seven points and one 3. Catherine Austin scored six points on a pair of 3s.

Alden-Hebron 51, Berean Baptist 13: At Rockford, Alden-Hebron’s Eden Wanderer scored 11 points for the Giants in a nonconference win over Berean Baptist. Rachel Pahl, Katie Rosio and Kendra Cashmore each scored eight points. Abby Wanderer added six points for A-H (9-4).
