The McHenry girls basketball team earned its 16th straight victory Saturday to stay undefeated in the Fox Valley Conference with a 51-39 win against Cary-Grove in Cary.
Aannah Interrante led the Warriors (20-1, 9-0 FVC) with 17 points, Izzy Gscheidle had 12 points and two 3s, and Ava Interrante and Liz Alsot both tossed in nine points. McHenry's 20 wins are the program's most since going 21-10 in 2010-11.
McHenry trailed, 17-15, at halftime and outscored the Trojans, 36-22, over the final two quarters.
Katie Sowa led the Trojans (11-8, 5-4) with nine points and a 3, Abby Getka tossed in eight points, and Maddie Jannusch had seven points.
Hampshire 49, Prairie Ridge 34: At Hampshire, the Whip-Purs outscored the Wolves, 20-13, in the fourth quarter to pull away for an FVC win.
Lauren Herrmann led Hampshire (9-11, 4-5 FVC) with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting, Ally Cermak added 12 points and a 3, and Kelby Bannerman had eight points and 10 rebounds.
Karly Statter led the Wolves (10-10, 4-5) with a game-high 20 points and two 3s. Nicole Dorn tossed in 11 points and a 3.
Lincoln-Way East 56, Huntley 40: At the DeKalb MLK Tournament, the Red Raiders dropped their tournament opener to the Griffins, receiving 15 points apiece from Raquel Radermacher and Kamsi Nwogu.
Bartlett 73, Johnsburg 56: At the DeKalb MLK Tournament, the Skyhawks lost their tournament opener to the Hawks. Morgan Madsen had 15 points and a 3 for Johnsburg, Megan Madsen added 11 points and a 3, and Heather Arden tossed in 10 points with two 3s.
Huntley 56, Johnsburg 47: At the DeKalb MLK Tournament, Radermacher had a season-high 25 points for the Red Raiders (4-15) in the consolation victory over Johnsburg (13-8).
Radermacher had two 3s and was 11 of 13 from the free-throw line. Nwogu added 13 points, and Mallory Moffett had eight points and a 3. The Skyhawks were led by Morgan Madsen with 16 points and two 3s. Megan Madsen and Sarah Metze each scored eight points.
Huntley will face Burlington Central at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the consolation bracket quarterfinals. Johnsburg plays DeKalb at 9 a.m.
Marian Central 47, Indian Creek 26: At Shabbona, Vannessa Garrelts and Janelle Allen tossed in 11 points apiece for the Hurricanes (14-7) in a nonconference win. Amber Reynolds also scored in double figures with 10 points on the strength of two 3-pointers.
