Huntley, Jacobs, Johnsburg and McHenry were the four teams to advance from the Dundee-Crown Bowling Regional on Saturday at Liberty Lanes in Carpentersville.
Those teams move on to next week’s Kaneland Sectional at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb. D-C’s Mary Ehmann and Zoe Lufman, Hampshire’s Kiele Moraska and Woodstock’s Rachel Stieg all finished in the top 10 individuals not on advancing teams to earn berths to the sectional.
Jacobs’ Brianna Schmidt rolled a 1,262 to win the regional individual championship.
Huntley was led by Kaitlyn Clutter (1,013) and scored 4,631 to win the team title. Jacobs (4,592) was second, Johnsburg (4,534) was third and McHenry (4,275) was fourth.
McHenry beat D-C by five pins for the last qualifying spot.
Emily Owens rolled a 1,106 to lead Johnsburg, Destiny Draheim (967) topped McHenry.
Ehmann (1,196) was the top individual qualifier, followed by Moraska (1,104) and Lufman (1,020). Stieg (971) was sixth among the 10 individual qualifiers.
